I will be in San Diego in 6.5 days!! Nope, that's not a typo. That's like realllll soon. I am a  lil' nervous, but a lot of excited! I will be keeping this blog, "San Diego Adventures," to keep all those who have supported me in one way or another updated about what's going on during my trip. (Even if you haven't supported me I still want you to know all about it.) So, follow me or just look out for the link to be posted on Facebook.

What I am most excited about is not the beautiful-ness of California (although I am excited for that.) But, mostly just seeing how the Lord will be using me this summer! I have no idea what this summer is going to look like, but I'm going into it with an open mind and an open heart. I am pretty sure Jesus will be rocking my world during these 5 weeks in Cali. This may be one of the most uncomfortable summers I have experienced so far, but surprisingly I am not too scared about that. Uncomfortable = growing.

Matthew 28:19-20 ¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” 

Jesus is calling me, so I'm going. It's as simple as that.


If I'm being completely honest, the hardest thing to swallow about this trip is how in the world I will be able to come up with $3000 (plus $500 airfare) for this trip. I almost didn't commit for the reason that in my mind there was a big chance that all of that money may not be provided. Boy was I wrong, and I feel so silly for doubting. I used to just say this, but I have learned that if it's in God's will He will provide. Trusting God in this process and taking this leap of faith is the best thing I could have done. He has taught me patience and to not worry along the way. He will provide for me.

That being said, I have raised *buh-buh-duh* $3,080. Praise. the. LORD. Glory to God because I surely could not do that on my own in 2 months. Any money raised over $3,000 will be going towards the cost of my flight and potentially to some of my fellow team members. I serve a faithful God.

I ask that you would remember myself and the 25(ish) other college students I will be teaming up with from the mid-west in prayer. Pray for the hearts of the people we will be reaching in San Diego and to everyone we come in contact with. Pray for safety as we will be traveling a few thousand miles from home. Pray for our hearts to be changed this summer.
